Impacting families, one child at a time…

Rite Quality’s founder, Douglas Vaughn, established the Haitian Environmental Support Program as a non-profit 501c(3) back in 1981. Since then, H.E.S.P. has garnered support from around the U.S. and completed numerous projects to uplift and nourish the lives of destitute children in Haiti. 

Currently supports 100 children with food, clothes, and education
Helped over 3,500 Haitians receive eye exams and glasses with Lions Club International (3 vision clinics)
Donated numerous medications, dresses, toys, and school supplies 
Built a school cafeteria and renovated school building 
Donated food and financial support after 2010 earthquake
Funded water generator system for clean drinking water
Hosts annual 5K/walk-a-thons since 1987
Sewed and distributed dresses for Pre-K and Kindergarten girls

OTHER WAYS WE PAY IT FORWARD

Kokomo C.E.O. program

Selected HS seniors from multiple school corporations meet at businesses around the greater Kokomo area. Doug Vaughn serves as a board member, investor, and mentor. The program teaches students to immerse themselves professionally in business start-ups, risk management, and operations within the work environment.

Indiana Black Expo college scholarships

In the past three decades, IBE has awarded more than $4.6 million in scholarships to students around Indiana. Rite Quality avidly helps students advance their career objectives by financially supporting IBE scholarships and attending annual events.

STEM programs

Maple Crest STEM Middle School provides students in grades 6-8 with a quality education in a STEM (Science/ Technology/ Engineering/ Mathematics) environment. Rite Quality has done multiple presentations to students about entrepreneurship, community service, and the significance of helping the less fortunate.

AKA Inc. “Doing the Dream” scholarships 

For years Rite Quality has donated funds and participated in the “Doing the Dream” celebration where scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors. Hosted by the Kokomo chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., this event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It brings together community leaders and volunteers, government officials, church members and anyone interested in the future of American society.

International Baccalaureate school

Kokomo School Corporation provides K-12 students an IB environment which is project-based, inquiry oriented, and global in focus. KHS IB Diploma graduates have attended Harvard University and Duke University. Rite Quality has done presentations on how children learn in 3rd world countries and the importance of gratitude and global generosity.
